2026 OTANEWAINUKU CAMP

2026 OTANEWAINUKU 3 DAY 2 NIGHT CAMP $350:

CLOSING DATE: PERMISSION, PAYMENT, REGISTRATION: 3pm Friday 6th November 2026

In Week 6 of this term, Otanewainuku will attend a 3-day 2-night camp at
Finlay Park, Karapiro

ACTIVITIES:
Students will be involved in an Education Outside the Classroom (EOTC) experience with a focus on putting our learning principles - GRIT -
LEARNER AGENCY - CREATIVITY - COLLABORATION - AUTHENTIC
LEARNING into action in adventure-based camp settings. This will create
opportunities to develop confidence, teamwork and leadership skills.

Activities will include things like:
● Kayaking
● Stand-up paddleboarding
● Waterslide/Blob
● Glow worm tour
● Go Karts
● Out camp experience
● Confidence course
● Bushcraft and cooking

To give permission and register, please complete the form and make payment. Once you have confirmed your registration with permission and payment, we are unable to offer a refund as numbers will be booked and we will be committed to making full payment to all service providers.

Venue: Finlay Park, Karapiro
Date: Week 6, Term 4
Koikoi: Monday, 16th November - Wednesday, 18th November
Matatu: Wednesday, 18th November - Friday 20th November
Programme: 3 Day 2 Night Camp
Accommodation: A mixture of cabins and tents
Food: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner are provided. Please provide a packed
lunch for the first day of camp and some home-baking (nut free) to contribute to our morning and afternoon tea.

Note: Allergies can be catered for, but please note that parents may have to
provide some items for some dietary requirements.

Transport: Bus + School Van + Parent Cars (vetted parents)

Cost: $350 (including accommodation, food, activities, and transport costs).

Closing date: Friday, 6th November at 3pm

PAYMENT:
To streamline our processes, we cannot accept direct payments into
the School Bank Account for activities. All activities are loaded onto the School Website Online Shop under ACTIVITIES and must be paid through the website online shop.

Note: If payment is made into the School Bank Account it will be refunded to
you and payment will need to be made correctly on the School Website.

Please complete this 2026 Otanewainuku Camp form to Register, give
Permission and make Payment by the closing date of 3pm Friday, 6th November to ensure that your child can be registered to attend this Camp.

You will NOT be able to pay and register after this date because the form will not be available on the School Website after the closing date as we are required to make confirmation with Service providers.

We understand that some families may be experiencing significant financial
hardship. If this is the case, please start a conversation with your learning
coach now so that you can be advised of the hardship process, as we are
unable to put plans in place once the closing date for payment is reached.
This is important as any agreed plans for payments plus Administration charges must all be received by 3pm on the closing date 6th November 2026 and will not extend past this final closing date.
Note: You will receive a separate EOTC Google Form through HERO regarding additional EOTC consent and medical information required for this trip.

REMINDERS:
We may continue to send general reminders for payment to all parents through HERO notices, so please ensure you keep your email confirmations of payment and registration from the TAUMATA SCHOOL Website Online Shop to prevent making double payments when you get general reminders. Note that if you have created an account on our TAUMATA SCHOOL Website, you will be able to view your payment and order history in the online shop when you log in.
