CLOSING DATE FOR PERMISSION, PAY AND REGISTER: FRIDAY MARCH 6TH, 2026 AT 3PM.

In Term 1, Week 7, Year 5’s and Year 6’s will be attending a 3 day 2 night camp at Ōhope Beach Christian Camp.

ACTIVITIES:
Students will be involved in an Education Outside the Classroom (EOTC) "user pays" experience with a focus on putting our learning principles - GRIT - LEARNER AGENCY - CREATIVITY - COLLABORATION - AUTHENTIC LEARNING - into action in adventure based camp settings. This will create opportunities for students to develop confidence, teamwork and leadership skills. Activities will include bush walking, SUP (Stand Up Paddleboarding) and surf lessons with a focus on ocean water safety.
If you are NOT interested in this experience for your child, learning will continue to take place on the school site. To give permission and register please complete the form and payment. Once you have confirmed your registration with permission and payment, we are unable to offer a refund as numbers will be booked and we will be committed to making full payment to all service providers.

Venue: Ohope Christian Camp, 60 Pohutukawa Avenue, Ōhope

Programme: 3 Days 2 Nights
Accommodation: Cabins and Tents
Food: Cooking on site (parents/staff). Please provide a packed lunch and some home baking (Labeled with ingredients) to contribute to our morning and afternoon tea.
Note: Allergies can be catered for but please note that parents may have to provide some items for some dietary requirements.
Transport: Bus
Cost: $185.00 for all activities including buses for each day

PAYMENT:
We are no longer able to accept direct payments into the School Bank Account for "user pays" activities. All "user pays" activities for 2026 will be loaded onto the School Website Online Shop under "ACTIVITIES". Note that if payment is made into the School Bank Account in error that it will be refunded to you and payment will need to be made correctly on the School Website to confirm registration. 
Please complete the 2026 Year 5/6 camp form to give permission and make payment by the closing date of Friday 6th March 2026, 3pm to ensure that your child can be registered to attend this camp. You will NOT be able to register after this date because the form will not be available on the school website and we are required to make confirmation with service providers. You are only able to give permission, pay and register using the school website online shop.

REMINDERS:
We will continue to send general reminders to all parents through HERO notices so please ensure you keep your email confirmation of payment and registration from the website online shop to prevent making double payments. If you prefer to access your payment history, then please ensure you have created an account when logging into our School Website. We understand that some families may be experiencing significant financial hardship. If this is the case, please start a conversation with your learning coach now as we are not able to implement any plans after the payment closing date of the 06th March for the Camp.

MEDICAL/DIETARY:
Please complete the Medical and Dietary requirements in detail. We are NOT able to accept medication on the day unless the form has been completed with the details. Please note that you may have to supply some food items for specific dietary requirements.

INFORMATION EVENING:
We will be holding a Camp Information Evening on Tuesday, March 3rd in the School Hall. For those who are unable to attend we will share a recording of the event via Hero.
