YEAR 0-6 SUMMER BASKETBALL 3 v 3 COMPETITION

DATES: Monday 16 February - Monday 30 March (7 weeks)

VENUES: Games are played at Mercury Bay Park and Haumaru Sports Centre (Taumata will request games at Haumaru Sports Centre, but this is not gauranteed.

COACH (Optional): There is NO COACHING for this competition when the game is being played. If there is a parent able to coach, then you can run a practice session at Taumata School.

MANAGER (Compulsory): A parent is required for each game to help with rolling subs and the scoreboard for games. A manager is also required to communicate with parents when games are and making sure we have enough players for a team each week.

COST: $55 per player for the seven week competition. We require a minimum of four players to enter a team. There is also a one-off Tauranga Basketball Levy of $5 that is payed once per year.

UNIFORMS: Students will be issued a sports uniform to play in. These need to be washed and returned at the end of the basketball season. Lost or severely damaged uniforms will incur a charge for replacement.

DETAILS: At this age the referees will help the children with the rules and guide them around the court and help them with what to do. Each game is 10 minutes and teams play two games, sometimes three games a night. First games tip off at 4.00pm.
