Volleyball Year 3-8 Term 1 2026 Registrations

VOLLEYBALL YEAR 3-8

WHO: Year 3-4 and Year 5-6 play 4 players on the court and we need a minimum of 5 players.

Year 7-8 play 6 players on the court and we need a minimum of 7 players.

VENUE: Memorial Hall/QEYC or Haumaru Sports Centre will be used as venues.

DATES: Friday afternoons starting from Friday 20 February.

TIMES: Games are between 4.00pm-7.00pm for Year 3-6 and 4.00pm-9.00pm for Year 7-8.

COST: $45 per player

Rules are modified for the Year 3-4 children with either a dig, set and hit OR catch, throw and hit. Serving is closer to the net.

At Year 5-8 normal volleyball rules are played, but teams are graded based on ability.

Please note, we require a team manager and/or coach for each team. If we do not have at least one parent willing to help manage the team we will be unable to submit a team. Please specify in the form below if you are able to assist.

Manager Role (compulsory) - make sure parent's know when the game is and who is able to attend, rotate players on and off the court fairly each game and supervise at the game.

Coach Role (optional, but recommended) - run a practice session with the kids each week before, during or after school to help with the skills and rules of volleyball. Equipment and hall bookings will be organised through the Sports Coordinator.
