RIPPA RUGBY AND RIP RUGBY FOR YEAR 0-8 THURSDAY'S AT WAIPUNA PARK, WELCOME BAY

REGISTRATIONS CLOSE TUESDAY 3 FEBRUARY AT 11.59PM

Rippa Rugby is Year 0-2 and has no tackling, no kicks, no scrums and no lineouts.

Rip Rugby is Year 3-8 and has no tackling, but there are kicks, uncontested scrums and lineouts.

Who:           Girls / Boys / Mixed teams available (wanting to enter girls only teams if possible)

                   Years 0-2 have 5 players on the field and we need a minimum of 7 players

                   Years 3-8 have 7 players on the field and we need a minimum of 9 players 

Venue:        Waipuna Park, Welcome Bay

Dates:         Starts Thursday 19 February and runs for six weeks

Cost:           $20.00 per player

Details:       Teams need to provide a referee for the games 

Games are 25 minutes with no half time.

There will be no BYES, instead some teams may play twice to ensure they verse each competing team.

Please note, we require a manager and coach for each team. If we do not have a manager/coach we will be unable to submit a team. Please specify in the form below if you are able to assist.

Manager - needs to communicate with the team when the game is (check the BOP rugby Facebook page), check we have enough players for a team each week, help the coach on the sideline getting gear on players and rolling subs on and off fairly.

Coach - be at the game 10 minutes early to practice with the team (passing, catching, ripping tags and kicking for Year 3-8) and be able to referee. This is a very social sport so referees need to know the rules and then work with the referee from the other team to make the game fair and enjoyable for everyone.
